final exam 40%
A plus/minus grading is adopted for that course. The grades will be assigned based, roughly, on a 5 point scale, A+ for 95-100, A for 90-94, A- for 85-89, etc. Some deviations in students' favor are possible (across the whole section, NEVER in individual cases). Homework will be assigned on a weekly basis. Significant part of each assignment will be graded. No late homeworks will be accepted, but the lowest score will be dropped.

Policies

Lateness and Absence

Midterm and final exams makeups will not be allowed, except for the REAL emergencies. Those should be communicated to (and agreed to by) me ahead od time whenever possible. If not possible it will have to be supported by a solid evidence.
