Required:  H. L. Royden, Real Analysis , Prentice Hall,  3rd ed.

Grading

The course grade will be (roughly) apportioned as follows:
 
homework assignemnts 70%
final exam 30%
A plus/minus grading is adopted for that course. The grades will be assigned based, roughly, on a 5 point scale, A+ for 95-100, A for 90-94, A- for 85-89, etc. Deviations in students' favor are possible (across the whole section, NEVER in individual cases). Homework will be assigned on a more or less weekly basis. Significant part of each assignment will be graded. No late homeworks will be accepted.

You are welcome to discuss ideas and approaches to assigned problems with other but the final solutions must be writen solely by you.
